Now that school is out, the summer months usually lead to an increase in crime and vandalism.
We at U.P.D. want to remind you: that there is a midnight to 5:00 AM curfew for everyone under 18 years of age, and this curfew will be enforced. (See Curfew on FAQ’s page)
In previous years U.P.D. has routinely had problems with juveniles supposedly spending the night at each other’s houses, but instead they roam the streets late at night vandalizing property and creating mischief. It would help us immensely if all parents would double-check their children’s overnight plans and confirm their whereabouts during curfew hours. If your teenagers are involved in backyard parties, please make sure there is no alcohol or drugs present.
As always, we ask that anyone in the Uniontown Community who notices anything suspicious or out of the ordinary to give us a call.
Let’s all have a safe and pleasant summer! Chief Don Hensley
