The Uniontown Police Department is purchased 3 NEW 2007 FORD Crown Victoria's @ $20,904 each. These replaced old cruisers which were taken off the road last year due to high mileage, costly repairs, and officer safety issues. We asked to spend up to $100,000 total for all three replacement vehicles including the replacement of outdated cruiser equipment. It’s been more than 10 years since we have replaced any cruiser equipment including: Overhead Light Bars, Console Radios, Video Recording Systems, etc. Police cruiser equipment is expensive. In the future, when it comes time to replace these vehicles, we will transfer and install all of this replaced equipment into the new vehicles. |
